comment from @craigambrose "A good activation process is a great idea, and really important. I feel like the next thing to plug into that is some stuff relating to getting the new contributor working on stuff that matters. Maybe a speed dating type service to help people find others with which to form pods or ventures?"

Feels like this could could to the network-map and general 'make the network visible to itself' piece. @whiskeyfix Activation programme could be a great funnel into this.
