updating profile pic freezes app #176

Describe the bug

after selecting and updating profile pic, error is being thrown and app freezes. weird blue circle appears over profile pic

after refreshing app in editor, avatar image updates

To Reproduce

Steps to reproduce the behavior:

go to profile screen
double tap profile avatar
allow access to files
choose new profile photo

Smartphone (please complete the following information):

on android physical device
