[Ente Auth] Incorrect recovery key #2325

Description

I tried logging into my Ente Auth account using my password but got "my current device is not powerful enough to verify my password".

So transferred over the recovery key from the app and entered it in, but got "the recovery key you entered is incorrect". The key is correct, I have checked it multiple times.

Let me know if you need more info to debug this.

Version

v3.0.17-1

If you are on Arch, make sure you install ente-auth-bin from AUR. ente-auth will give that error.

Hi all, did anyone by chance enter the recovery with newlines like the key is shown for backing it up?

In the Android app I was asked to confirm the recovery key and I also got key errors. The key was only accepted, once I removed all newlines from the textbox and replaced them with just spaces.

EDIT: I only read that this is about ente-auth after posting, but maybe this also applies here

Working on arch with ente-auth-bin :-)

The ente-auth AUR package doesn't work. ente-auth-bin package from the AUR is working for me.
