Testing so far has shown that they use DHCP when it is available, even when 'static ip' is checked in the GUI.
we need to see if they get dynamic addresses on a radio programmed in competition mode, and if so, figure out how to make them actually static.
perhaps uncheck 'manage device networking' option? maybe some PV research required
