This add a pretty time stamp to the slider, similar to the TABSControl.
It doesn't yet acknowledge that there could be more than one dataset, but it should be abstract enough to accommodate that whenever the mapView is ready for it. It's not yet clear what the API for accessing different datasets is going to be.
