Hi Robert,

New Brazilian Portuguese translation. (I really don't like the idea of forks just to allow minor contributions)

Great! Thanks alot!

I noticed some translations are a bit too long for the available space now. I will fix this before the 1.1 beta release by making all dialogs adjust to the size of translated strings. In the upcoming alpha there might still be some cut off or overflowing labels, though.

One more thing I noticed: In entries 5403 and 5505, "Encoding" means character encoding or charset, so should it be "Codificação" instead of "Codificando"? In entry 3014, "encoding" refers to the process of encoding an audio track, so I think "codificando" is correct there, but possibly not in 5403 and 5505.

Thanks again, Robert

Seems fair. I'm building it now to see how things are displayed.

OK, had a problem building BoCA, it is described on its project page.

There are a couple of translations to be improved. I usually prefer to keep things on infinitive (Portuguese has lots of verb inflections / tense).

Now that I have freac running I can better use the semantic context.

Hi André,

You wrote that you would like improve the translation now that you can actually run fre:ac. Did you get a chance to do it yet?

Cheers, Robert

I can do by weekend as now I´m very busy. Is it OK for you? Best regards,André

enzo1982 commented 6 years ago

Sure, that's fine. Take your time.

Cheers, Robert

The new 20180710 release now adjusts better to wide text widths in many places, though not everywhere yet. I will try to further improve that in the upcoming beta.

Hi André,

I just finished feature development for fre:ac 1.1. Do you still intend to update the translation? If so, now would be a good time.

I plan to release the first 1.1 beta on 15th December, so I'll need the update before that date. You can find more information in issue #50. Your help would be greatly appreciated as fre:ac seems to be quite popular in Brazil.

Please give me a quick reply to let me know if you're going to work on this or not.

Thanks, Robert

I will do it but right now I'm inside a really busy period. Things will calm down in two weeks. As a bonus, I' finished recently some nice icons that may be of your interest (they are in .svg format so you will be able to generate any size you may want). Regards,André

Thank you for your quick reply!

Take your time! If you can start updating the translation in two weeks, that's fine.

Cheers, Robert

P.S.: Did you attach the SVGs to your mail? Most attachments are unfortunately swallowed by GitHub and don't make it into the issue comments, so you will need to post them directly using the web interface.

The files are inside a project in gitlab. As I'm adding icons related to other things besides multimedia, I didn't make it public yet, but can add you to the project if you want to take a look and see if some of them are useful to you (you will need one account there).

The project name is caeli-icon-theme. Regards,André
