Freac not adding tracks to Joblist #419

Open spenson89 opened 1 year ago

spenson89 commented 1 year ago

Describe the bug When I drag and drop files into Freac from finder, Freac will add 1-2 tracks to the job list and then just freeze. Have to force quit app. Same thing if I try to add folder through the menu buttons. Works though if you just add 1 track at a time.

To Reproduce

  1. Drag multiple tracks into Freac
  2. Adds one or two
  3. Freeze or
  4. Click Add Audio Files to the job list -> by Folder
  5. Select a folder
  6. Adds one or two
  7. Freeze

Expected behavior Add all selected tracks to the job list

Screenshots Nothing really to screenshot, just shows one or two tracks and soft freezes. can click some things but other things are non responsive. Trying to close the app freezes the whole application and have to force close.

System (please complete the following information)

Thank you for reporting this!

Have you tried the latest continuous build of fre:ac? It fixes several issues found in fre:ac 1.1.6. An official 1.1.7 release is planned for end of this month.

If this does not fix it, can you tell what type of files you are trying to add? I.e. AAC, ALAC, MP3, something else?

Also, does this happen with one specific folder or with any folder containing audio files? If it is a specific folder, are there other, non-audio files in it? Of course fre:ac tries its best to ignore those, but it's possible that certain files might cause issues in rare cases.

I ended up using an old windows PC and installing Freac on there. That installation seemed to work fine. No issues like I had on my Macbook.

To answer your questions though, I was trying to convert multiple mp3s / wmas to a single AAC / M4A (Audiobooks).

I tried several different folders and they all experienced this issue. Only audio files, no non-audio files. Some folders were mp3s, and others were wma (windows media player?).
