Freac doesn't recognize a disk #510

I was converting some CDs to mp3s and everything was fine. Then I closed the program for a few minutes, reopened it, and it then acted like there was no CD in the drive. The disk was recognized by Windows Media Player, because it played upon being inserted. I then uninstalled the program and re-installed it, and it did the same thing.

joblist-adddisc Same thing happens to me so all i do is click that button and the CD shows up again, i hope that helped.

@MynameisedH If a CD is already inserted into the drive when starting fre:ac, its contents are not automatically added to the joblist. You need to click the Add audio CD contents button as @stillusingmp3 pointed out.

This is intentional, because fre:ac is not primarily a CD ripper, but a file converter.

Does this solve the problem or is there a different issue (e.g. that fre:ac does not recognize the CD drive at all)?

Another possibility, if it's not as stillusingmp3 or enzo1982 have described, is that some other software has an exclusive-lock on the optical drive, and thus is preventing Fre:AC from accessing the contents.
