10 years ago I don't think it could be done in the extension itself using a file picker or something like that. I think it would require an addtionnal script to select the file and send it to transmission. Actually you can use transmission-remote directly to do that quite easily.
Maybe it's also possible just to write the full path with file://path/to/torrent in the add field of the extension but it's not very convinient I admit.
Would there be a possibility to add local .torrrent files to transmission via the extension? Websites like OpenSUSE.org don't provide you with an easy to reach Link to the torrent-file, so the only way of adding it is by downloading it and then adding it through the web interface. Could this functionality be built in?
