Fixed broken links and other doc changes are not being reflected in the docs portal for some repos, most notably cdt. On deeper inspection this is caused by the docs build process pulling from tags instead of release branches. For instance, cdt is currently pulling from v3.0.1 tag, so any doc fixes made to main or release/3.1 won't be caught by the docs build process.

update doc repos to always pull from main or a release/x.y branch if versioned.
