Hello all
There seems to be a patch on the following link, that fixes the bug. On my servers with the patch applied the synergyc runs without problem.
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/synergy/+bug/299152
Greetings

I'm fairly certain this fix has made it into upstream. Could you try with either 1.3.8-2 from unstable or the 1.4.x version in experimental?

I wasn't subscribed to this bug report, so I didn't see the updates. I no longer have this specific setup, so I cannot verify that I still receive the error. I have a setup available at work that I can try to reproduce this error, and if so, I will test with the newer releases of synergy from experimental, etc. I may even take the time to install Debian Lenny if I can't reproduce it with Squeeze, for the sake of closing the bug report. If not, I would mark it unreproducible and/or call it fixed and/or close the bug.

I've done the above, trying to recreate the setup as best I could. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to use Debian Lenny for the test, but presumably Debian Squeeze has the same version of the Synergy client as my original report had. I am unable to reproduce this bug; perhaps it's due to a different X configuration, I don't know.
Anyway, I've marked the bug as unreproducible. Feel free to close the report, I'm fairly confident it's been fixed, as you state.

Have you had a chance to try this out?

Thanks for the follow-up; I must have missed your reply when you sent it before.
I'm going to follow your suggestion and mark the bug closed. If you have the problem again, definitely reopen the bug or file a new one.

Subject: Synergy bug #495498 still exists in version 1.3.1-5 Followup-For: Bug #382063 Package: synergy Version: 1.3.1-5
I'm still having troubles with this bug.
My setup for synergy is as follows:
Windows XP SP3 32bit server on left Debian lenny amd64 client on right
I am running OpenSSH on the windows box, and and connecting via an ssh tunnel on the debian box.
$ synergyc --debug INFO -f localhost INFO: synergyc.cpp,716: Synergy client 1.3.1 on Linux 2.6.26-1-amd64
1 SMP Thu Oct 9 14:16:53 UTC 2008 x86_64
NOTE: synergyc.cpp,330: started client NOTE: synergyc.cpp,247: connected to server INFO: CScreen.cpp,98: entering screen
.. removed for clarity ...
INFO: CScreen.cpp,116: leaving screen INFO: CScreen.cpp,98: entering screen synergyc: ../../src/xcb_lock.c:77: _XGetXCBBuffer: Assertion `((int) ((xcb_req) - (dpy->request)) >= 0)' failed. Aborted
This is my first time filing a bug report, so if I messed up anywhere, my apologies.
If there is anything else I can provide, let me know.
