Package: synergy Version: 1.3.1-2 Severity: important

During use, I can not always switch between screens. Windows XP is the client, Debian is the server. Acts as if not connected, but output from debug and from Windows shows still connected.

Once moving to other screen, often get "kicked back" to the server screen.

Even while sitting idle (not moving mouse or pressing keys, server active), synergys --restart --no-daemon -d DEBUG1

will report (repeats forever): DEBUG1: CXWindowsUtil.cpp,1738: ignoring X error: 3 DEBUG1: CXWindowsUtil.cpp,1738: ignoring X error: 3 DEBUG1: CXWindowsUtil.cpp,1738: ignoring X error: 3 DEBUG1: CXWindowsUtil.cpp,1738: ignoring X error: 3 DEBUG1: CXWindowsUtil.cpp,1738: ignoring X error: 3 DEBUG1: CXWindowsUtil.cpp,1738: ignoring X error: 3 DEBUG1: CXWindowsUtil.cpp,1738: ignoring X error: 3 DEBUG1: CXWindowsUtil.cpp,1738: ignoring X error: 3

synergys --restart --no-daemon -d DEBUG2 will report (repeats forever): DEBUG2: CXWindowsUtil.cpp,1352: can't read property 353 on window 0x014d06ff DEBUG1: CXWindowsUtil.cpp,1744: flagging X error: 3 DEBUG1: CXWindowsUtil.cpp,1738: ignoring X error: 3 DEBUG1: CXWindowsUtil.cpp,1738: ignoring X error: 3 DEBUG1: CXWindowsUtil.cpp,1738: ignoring X error: 3 DEBUG2: CXWindowsUtil.cpp,1352: can't read property 353 on window 0x014d0700 DEBUG1: CXWindowsUtil.cpp,1744: flagging X error: 3 DEBUG1: CXWindowsUtil.cpp,1738: ignoring X error: 3 DEBUG1: CXWindowsUtil.cpp,1738: ignoring X error: 3

I know it's been a long time ago, but you once filed a bug with Debian reporting problems with synergy losing its connection occasionally. You can refresh your memory here:

http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=382063

I was wondering: are you still having the problem? If so, have there been any changes in the intervening time which might have mitigated the problem?

I realize that a lot has probably changed. If you've completely moved on, just let me know, and I'll close the bug report for you.
