There are a few examples I can pull up though I think with versioneer in use we could hopefully leverage that to figure out if a non-'development' version is in use. Something like... if .post is not in the version might cut it? maybe... Below are a couple different approaches. In other words, good golly we need to make a standard lib for this. But oh well. Probably time for a 15th standard.
