Port to M1 Mac #197

Hello,

I know its not a real issue. I love this software, but it doesn't start on my M1 MacBook Air. Will there be a port for it?

EDIT: It seems it works trough rosetta, you just have to move the app out of the folder and back in. (Sounds weird, but it actually works) Only one minor issue found so far: all shapes besides the cubes don't work.

@downspath The workaround with moving the app out of the folder and back is a known issue for a long time – a weird one indeed though.

From the FAQ on the Website:

macOS : unable to open the app: go to Security and Privacy panel to allow the app open. macOS : Black screen: move magicavoxel.app outside the folder and then move it back. macOS : too slow at retina resolution: disable Brush->Display->HDPI.

+1 on the direct Apple Silicon support, as I will move to one in the near future. 👍

Anyone tried compiling from source for Apple Silicon? Alas my M1 is at home and I'm away for a few weeks.

Any word on fixing shapes other than cubes on M1 Macs? I'm not aware if any workaround for them unfortunately.

I just stumbled upon this software. It is awesome! I would love to see it run natively on M1 mac. Is the source code of the software available? I see only the source code of the website. Thanks!
