We do a great job encouraging ways to speak up, but it would be nice to have a bit more discussion on the challenges of speaking up. So far we talk about it being challenging in general and that minority groups can face tone policing, but it could be helpful to talk about the bystander effect, or the threat of potentially losing your job, or your status or relationships when challenging something or someone.
I spent some time searching for articles on the risks of speaking out when you are a minority, but need to spend more time that way. The additional resources I've found are from Harvard Business Review (of which we already have two articles linked to in the lesson). At the very least we could add these to the list.
