Note: This needs more testing. I'm planning to deploy to the IOCs on our test network next week.

Looking forward to have this Perl slowdown addressed, and I just happen to have a good place to test the improvement.

I also heard today there are some troubles when building 3.15.6 for Debian 9. We don't do that for repo yet - how about you?

Where did this go? I got it built for 64/32 and installed on one of our test systems. No rumored link issues so far.

Okay, I went to try and build stream with that and it failed to properly call EpicsHostArch, leaving the string blank and choking the process. Something is amiss after all.

Yeah, I also came across this issue. It seems like all modules are failing to build for this reason. I'm not sure where things are going wrong but it might be related to the fact that EpicsHostArch.pl is not being installed into /usr/lib/epics/startup anymore.
