Contains models and tools to produce short-term forecasts for both case and sequence notifications assuming circulation of either one or two variants. Tools are also provided to allow the evaluation of the use of sequence data for short-term forecasts in both real-world settings and in user generated scenarios.
At the moment tooling only supports models with a single variant of interest and other sequences. Longer term having tooling that supported models with n variants would be great.
This requires fairly extensive changes to the underlying model to be vectorised and to use as multinomial likelihood. Also requires some less extensive updates to the processing code to support.
