Update SMDB to include "Kit Request" button for CSC use- Biospecimen (Spring 2025 release)

Enable the ability for the CSC to submit home mouthwash kit requests on behalf of participants

• Add a variable to signify 'kit requested' and 'date requested'
• Include "Request a home mouthwash kit" on an SMDB page for the CSC agents (make it selectable only if the ppt meets the conditions for it: all verified KP participants; participants who have completed clinical blood/urine collection at HFH, HP, Sanford, UChicago)
• CSC submits the kit request in SMDB upon request from the ppt
• DevOps to update the query that currently populates the 'print addresses' function and include participants for whom a kit has been requested at the top of this list

8/22 Discussion notes and next steps:

Goal is for NORC or CCC agent to 'Request a Kit' through the SMDB for an eligible participant. Once requested the participant goes to the top of the query that prints addresses. Two new variables to be created and then populated once Kit is requested(Kit Request flag, Auto generation of date/time kit was requested).

1. NORC or CCC agent to go through SMDB and have the option to 'Request Kit' to a participant(similar to how the 'Data Corrections tool' works in the SMDB)
   • Participant is eligible by completing clinical blood/urine collection. Further eligibility criteria to be detailed in SOP. QC check to determine if a participant is eligible as well as a manual check by agent.
2. Once selected box will pop up confirming Request Kit "confirmation" or "cancellation"
3. Once confirmed 2 new variables populated(Kit request flag, Auto generation of date/time kit was requested for pt). These variables will be added to the participants table data structure(need to discuss later where specifically).
4. Once Kit is requested that participant will then jump to the top of the 'print addresses' query. Next steps: Rohan to discuss with DevOps about approach. @erincschwartz @brotzmanmj feel free to add on

Per discussion with @Gbarra9: Gene thinks implementing this is feasible.

• SMDB side needs to have queries created that will target the participants table once 'Kit Request' button is clicked (and confirmed)
• Two new variables for Kit Request flag(yes/no) and Kit Request Date/Time Stamp will be added, likely under BioKit_Mouthwash(319972665) but need to confirm with Analytics.
• Print Labels/addresses query in the BPTL dashboard would need to be changed to incorporate the Kit Request timestamp along with the existing Blood/Urine collection timestamp. This is a challenge but Gene thinks it can be done by adding more "orderBy" clauses. He has some concerns regarding query optimization and creating too many reads.
• We think there will be a link that will occur on the Assign Kits page similar to the normal process.
