Add DOI to blog posts #113

I am not sure about the scope for this issue, but in the hopes this may be helpful: Rogue Scholar does DOI minting for blog posts based on RSS feeds.

Would this be of interest to look into? I already have this for my own blogs and I know the person running this.

I didn't know about this but it sounds great!

This issue has two parts IMO:

Ideally, it would be great if we could pre-register a DOI and add it to the post before final publication. If not possible, we may need a two-steps workflow, where we release the post, and then automatically edit it to add the DOI.

It seems like it is feasible to do both steps using Rogue Scholar. I submitted the blog for indexing - I will ensure only those tagged with DOI as category get registered (given Rogue Scholar starts charging €1 each, after 50 posts in one year).

Some resources I found while researching this:

I will update here again once steps are being made.

Part 1 of this is now completed. DOIs are being generated for blog posts with the category DOI (case sensitive) and will be indexed by Rogue Scholar. We can find them here: https://rogue-scholar.org/blogs/epiverse_trace

Part 2 of this will be about automatically adding the DOIs to the blog posts, using the API from Rogue Scholar. To be continued upon my return from vacation.
