did these changes.
this drops django 1.3.* support.
works for django 1.4.*-1.6.*
python 2.5 is still supported.

Django 1.7 will stop support of Python 2.6

bots does not support python 2.5...tested this (had not used python2.5 in a 
long time). Too many problems, think the bots 3.* never ran on 2.5.

bots supports django 1.7 now.
Testing was done on beta version of 1.7.
