I'm curious why the Read Index feature imports routes as inactive? It seems to stem from this line.

I'm looking to contribute ways or ideas to truly auto-push configurations to production (like what is touched on here) and that line of code is a key thing that will need to change.

You can make a backup of the configuration. so with the settings backup you can make probably everything in the same state. I agree with Ebbers to import them as inactive.
