Command Auto-Closes after entering FFXIV directory. #3

First off, you are a blessing for making this. Thank you~

Second, when I try to launch the EXE and input the directory where my FFXIV is (which, based off the errors I was getting, is your Square Enix root folder, not the actual Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn folder), it just auto-closes immediately. Tried running it as admin as well and it still does it. Am I stupid or just missing something?

There's probably an error message I didn't pause for you to see, and when you run an EXE it automatically closes at the end. My bad. Try opening Command Prompt and running the exe (navigate to the folder you have it downloaded to and type ./ReReShade.exe) to see what the error message is.

Tried this after getting the same error as OP and it doesn't seem to resolve. Running this in elevated cmd produces the same results: new terminal opens to enter the directory and then closes with no error afterwards

Having same issue. My Gshade is installed in its own directory with the Gshade Control Panel, error seems it closes if it doesn't detect the gshade.dll or ffxiv_dx11.dll. Double checked my Gshade installs, in Gshade Control Panel, and its showing I don't have any now, not sure why as I had installs for ffxiv and skyrim, so not sure on that end.

alright, I've tweaked it to actually halt after writing something it failed on, which should make troubleshooting actually possible.

@Raulfin in your case, it looks to be looking for GShade.ini in the 'game' folder and not finding it. it needs that ini / gshade installed in order to locate the presets folder. the first path you entered (not the boot folder) was a correct input
