In addition to wanting to move to react msal rather than electron msal, Snyk is now scanning this repository and has highlighted several critical security vulnerabilities in the current version of electron, some of these being tied to electron msal. However, electron cannot be upgraded in isolation of electron msal so it seems reasonable to just remove it.
