This adds an else branch so that if no key/code was detected for loading a saved check, the query string will be parsed for possible details instead.

In order to hide the placeholder text it was also necessary to call attr("blank", false) on each field that is programmatically filled.

1) address & fraction is coming from the payer, so drop those.

2) Let's make Date (if it does not exist) auto-fill to current day. (if possible with no dependency, should be possible in 1 line for a "3-26-2024" format tho bit ugly/long cause Date API? Nice URL param extraction 1 liner!!! gonna steal that in future)

Could pull now but it'll be nice to have the commits threaded together.

set date to use en-US locale for mm/dd/yyyy goodness and dropped fraction and address
