Add unit tests for Statistics class

Description

This pull request adds unit tests for the Statistics class to ensure its functionality and accuracy.

Summary

• Added unit tests for Statistics class in tests/test_statistics.py
• Created TestStatisticsGetStats and TestStatisticsUpdate test classes
• Added test cases for get_stats and update methods
• Ensured proper handling of edge cases and invalid inputs
