In Oslo we have briefly described a concept of the "Remote LA Verification API" which would allow the student to send his draft LA to the receiving institution for an automated verification. I have even prepared a flowchart for this API:
However, after some thought, I am quite certain that the API is quite redundant. The sending institution can use the Courses API to achieve the same result. So, I have not included this API in the current version of the EWP Mobility Process Explained document.
