Replace 12V regulator with switched buck regulator #16

Too much heat coming off of current linear regulator. Since 12V is regulated down, not worried about slightly more noise off of switched regulator, but am worried about temperature, which is too hot to touch when comm turns on.

have a buck to replace the 7812 with the same footprint. Need to disconnect all boards, and have access to a solder sucker, which I don't have at the IFA :( (bring one)

Found switched buck regulator with same footprint as 7812. Installed. Works perfectly. Does NOT get hot.
