URL scanning #6

It would be beautiful if amavisvt would be able to check also URLs in emails because many emails contains just URL to download a virus and unfortunately some users are willing to open it...

Adding the URL endpoint (https://www.virustotal.com/en/documentation/public-api/#scanning-urls) should be straight forward. However, I think you would hit Virustotal's API limit pretty fast and thus render both, url and file scanning, useless.

It could be optional, so one could choose if enable only file, only url or both. And anyway one could use a paid VT plan.

If it's not hard to implement it would be useful

Hello, what maxxer here describes would be exactly what I am still looking for. Would be great if something like this could be integrated :) We also use a Virustotal Private Api-Key and can do many queries.
