Was able to route the capes, but because of time constraints, I did not plate them. There are only 8 or 9 vias and 6 pads that need contact on the bottom plane. I applied a solder mask to the top layer and soldered the headers with a 1-2 mm stand off, so we can pull them off and solder the afore mentioned pads. The task list for the BBBCape is as follows;
Solder the resistors, transistors and remaining DB9 onto the boards
plug the vias
pull the plastic off the headers and solder top pads, return plastic
purchase or find 3.3v reg (i have 1 sm 1amp in pocket that i can mod if need be and an lm317 at home, but would prefer the boards to match.
I will be in Wednesday and Thursday to finish tasks and work on presentation.
