Move or delete watched episodes #187

tuur29 commented 9 years ago

I've just started to use taiga, so perhaps this is already possible and I can't find it. Something along the lines of: when I confirm I watched the episode, the file gets deleted.

Context menu option to delete watched files would be really handy. I use qBittorent's feature to monitor for new .torrents files and download new series. It works well but there is no option to download each title to separate folder so it's gets really messy with time. So I have to do manual garbage collection which is annoying.

I might have done this in the wrong order. I'm very new to this so I apologize if I cause extra trouble.

I would like to work on this issue, and have already made a pull request (#833) onto the develop branch, incorporating automatic episode removal with a few different settings.

As a startup for discussion, how do people imagine the "move watched episodes" part of this issue?

What I can think of is the following:

However, I have never used this kind of system myself, so I would be glad to hear what people have in mind.

Merging the pull request may take a while. I hope my work is good enough (🙏), but even then erengy should take the time he needs to perform the review.

Until then, if people wish to try out the feature design and provide feedback, you are free to checkout the fork I implemented it on. The source can be compiled as instructed in the taiga wiki.

I'm adding a Library page to v2, where you'll be able to see a list of your library folders and files, along with their associated anime and episodes. I don't think there will be an option to automatically delete anything, but the plan is to make it easy to filter the list by watched/unwatched/size etc. and allow managing the files with a few clicks.
