Now will only display the menu when the major-mode is part of the mode-switcing menu. This allows modes like magit-mode to bring up its menu when clicking on the major-mode.

Atom status bar:

File Name(*)	Line:Column	Large space	Line Endings	Encoding	Major mode

Clicking on Major-mode brings up a menu to change the major mode (ido-like)
Clicking on Encoding brings up a menu to change encoding
Clicking on Line Endings Brings up a menu to change line endings
Click on line:column brings up dialog to goto line:number
Click on file-name copies it.

Major mode	File info	Line:Column	Line Endings	Encoding	Overwrite/Insert

Right click on major mode allows change of major-mode
Encoding toggles encoding
Line Endings toggles encoding.

Sublime Text:

Menu Icon	Line:Column	Tab Conventions	Major mode

Menu Icon opens find/replace and "console"
Line/Column doesn't do anything
Tab conventions allows changing of tab conventions
Major mode allows changing of major mode.
