Someone stole my ipod yesterday :(. I'm sorry I can't upload it for you. But I
think
it worked fine without backgrounder.

[edit: I re-uploaded the correct file]
Hi. I am having the exact same issue. Here's the version info:
Siphone 2.0.6 (downloaded from Cydia, BigBoss repo)
iPhone 3G FW 2.2 (5G77) Modem version 02.28.00
Attached is the log file resulting from setting the level to "Detailed". The
operations logged here are (please note that server name is changed for
privacy):
1) Starting up Siphone and waiting for it to connect. Connection established
(my ext
is 206).
2) Dialing an auto-answer extension, 891.
3) 891 seems to be answering, but no voice.
4) Attempted to disconnect. Siphone hangs.
5) closed using the home button
Note that when I dial a number, it actually rings it. It's just the voice. Also
I can
receive calls and answer theme. Just silently :)
Anyway, hope the log helps...

I am also having the same issue. This may be a dumb question but do I need the
headphone/mic to be able to hear calls or should I be able to hear them through
the
main speaker (ipod touch).

Same here new touch latest siphon no audio either direction. Tried using
built-in
speaker and motorola bluetooth headphones. Can hear DTMF and ringing but nothing
beyond that.

I'm using 3GS and 3G, and having this problem as well, i could only hear my
voice mail, could it be related to codec?

it could be sip provider related, when i used freephoneline.ca, the problem
comes, but when I use gizmo5 with GV, the problem went away.

I have an iphone 2g with 3.1.3 software. Installed Siphon 2.0 that was provided
from Cydia. I registered with sipgate.com for my sip phone number and account.
Tested the account with iCall phone software so I know it works.
Repeated the same account sip information in the Siphon setup, booted up the
Siphon software, it said it was dialing and receiving call, but no sound. I
could see the timer indicating that it was receiving a phone signal....but no
sound.
So, I got my iphone headphones and plug them in. I could hear the tape recorded
machine tape message I was called: 858 259-8208. I was calling that number for
test purposes, but like I said there was audio if you plug in the jack for
audio. However, when I unplugged the iphone headphone jack, then the sound
would go on even the conference button.
So in my case, and probably others, if you plug in your iphone jack you'll hear
sound from your headphones. If you unplug it, somehow it recalibrate the audio
and the phone is fully functional for that one call. If you reboot and redial
again, same problem, no audio....if you don't plug in your headphones.

I installed the Siphon 2.3.0 rc4 deb file. That solved my problem. Had to go to
Youtube to figure out how to install deb files on my iphone.....a little effort
but it works. Thanks!
