According to Elango Cheran, a Tamil-speaking engineer at Google, the current UDHR text in Tamil is mostly but not entirely in the Sri Lanka variant of the language; the India variant of Tamil would be slightly different. Please find attached the corrected versions. According to Unicode CLDR, the default region for the Tamil language is India, so the BCP47 code for the India variant (after language code minimization) would be “ta”, and the BCP47 code for the Sri Lanka variant would be “ta-LK”.
