I am not blocked by anything presently.

What I did.

I worked on setting up Django on my machine this week as well as upgrading python to use the latest version of Django (see #17).

What I plan to do next week.

I plan to pull the django branch locally and making sure everything runs as it is supposed on my end. I will also help in creating a wireframe for the project and if time permits, start development.

Week of 1/27 - 2/2

Am I blocked?

I am not blocked by anything presently.

What I did.

• Created a wireframe for the "Earn Favors" page (#19)
• Created a storyboard (#24) for Feature #12.
• Pulled the development branch and ensured the app launched as it should on localhost.

What I plan to do next week.

I will begin backend development (Database) next week after formally creating an Entity Relationship Diagram (ERD - #25) with my teammates.

Week of 2/3 - 2/9

Am I blocked?

I am not blocked by anything presently.

What I did.

• Converted informal copy of ERD made in class to a soft cop (#25).
• Created Jumbotron for the landing page and in the process discovered how to split code in Django.
• Engineering manager for this week.

What I plan to do next week.

• Finish developing the slideshow
• Work on backend
• Work on other front end components.

Week of 2/10 - 2/16

Am I blocked?

I am not blocked by anything presently.

What I did.

• Created an add favors form template and set up the front end for it
• Created acceptance tests for feature #12
• Wrote unit tests for Add Favors forms
• Modified the model for Favor entity

What I plan to do next week.

• Finish developing the slideshow
• Make adding favor more robust:
  • Owner is assigned to the current user
  • Button on the home page to navigate to add favor screen
  • User must be signed in to add favors
  • Integrate location with some maps API?

Week of 2/17 - 2/23

Am I blocked?

I am not blocked by anything presently.

What I did.

• Set up coverage for our project so that when python3 manage.py test is called, the coverage output is also shown.
• Made improvements to the slideshow and moved it to the right location
• Changed logo on the navbar

What I plan to do next week.

• Work on remodeling the navbar
  • Add button on Navbar to take the user to "add favor" form page
  • Setup the user profile button to take the user to their profile page, and sign out.

Week of 2/24 - 3/1

Am I blocked?

I am not blocked by anything presently.

What I did.

• Implemented the search bar on the home page to filter favors by name and description
• Reorganized website by moving elements to the right page
• Fixed inconsistencies and issues in style
• Implemented on click for Sign Up so it changes to pending

What I plan to do next week.

• Work on the backend for user sign-ups for favors.
  • On clicking sign up, the user is added to pending users for the favor
  • Favor owner is notified that the user signed up
  • Favor owner can confirm from the profile page. Once they do this, the favor object is hidden from listings.
  • Impletement status (available/unavailable) for favor object.
• Fix some bugs
  • Favors that are owned by user should not show up on their home page favor listings
  • The owner field should be removed from the add favor form. This value should be assigned to the user who is signed in.

Week of 3/2 - 3/8

I am not blocked by anything presently.

What I did.

• Worked on implementing backend to sign users up for favors and sync that with the front end (#64)
• Worked on fixing bugs with add favor form such as assigning owner as currently signed-in user by default and not providing a field for that, redefining favor object for the purposes of this project (#73)
• The user who owns the favor receives an email when someone requests their service with the email address and name of the requester (#75)
• Product Management: closed issues, created new issues for next sprint, etc

  What I plan to do next week.

• Write all acceptance tests
• Work on documentation for a new developer
• Fix bugs and finish main feature (email notifications, profile page, etc.)
