audio channel preferences are not written/retained #9

"i mean that when i change ,with apa,  the format to wav it is still in 
this format the next time i open AthenaCL. But the number of channels 
are set back to 2 but i did set it for 4 the last time i used the 
program. My preference about the channels are lost."
