Proposed methods feedback if anyone has time ! #1

Hello Team Shrub,

I've been working on my dissertation methods, or dissertation recipe, as @IslaMS put it !

They are still at a fairly preliminary stage...but bearing in mind I'm swimming in deadlines at the moment (6 courses is NOT the best idea I've ever had..), this is what I've got for now! The only dissertation deadline I have this semester is a presentation of my plan (which you will hear in a few weeks!), so having the methods sort of figured out would help me with that. Then, the big chunk of work will actually be next semester.

It would be very helpful if anyone could have a minute to read through this doc: proposed-methods.md at some point.

Feel free to add your comments, just add "####YourName:" before the comment so I know who said what.

@CalumHd if get the chance to read this and you see any horribly wrong spatial analysis method (which you probably will!) do let me know. The polygons-regions-point-extraction method is still the part that I don't really know how to do yet...

Be as harsh as you like !! ;)

Thank you for reading and I look forward to any feedback. Erica

Hi @ericazaja, I added some comments (as a pull request) where I could to your proposed methods. I had a few thoughts here and there about the questions you posed (some of them really aren't my strong suit I'm afraid) but all in all I think the methods look great and will make for an excellent dissertation!

Thanks soooo much Joe!! Appreciate your time and thanks for the encouraging words :)

Joe's comment reminded me to check this out, so thank you! I have added some comments for you in the methods document, Erica. I couldn't see Joe's comments in my commit though, I hope there wasn't a merge conflict?

I think overall it sounds like a very interesting project and you already have a great outline of methods and expected outcomes, so you'll be grand! Good luck going forward and do ping me if you have any particular questions :)

Amazing Mariana thanks a lot for taking the time!! I will recover Joe's comments from the pull request, no problem! The wonders of Github :) Thanks again!
