Possible cookie corruption issue?

Cookie inventory:

• Authentication (handled by Microsoft’s code, not by me).
• Display mode for club schedules (week or day)
• Admin impersonation: Impersonator (for admin impersonation), IsImpersonating
• Edit flight: Last usedd tail, Last ending hobbs, Expand FS landings
• Social media: PostFacebook, postTwitter (i.e., do what you did last time)
• Autofill: speed, include heliports, estimate night, night definition, night landing definition
• Signing flight: copy student flight
• Mobile view or Classic view
• "New UI" view (obsolete)
• Read privacy policy?
• Are you a new users? (I.e., do I show the "welcome" popup?)
• Most recently viewed rating group (Private Pilot, Instrument, Commercial, etc.) and specific rating (Single-engine Land, etc.).

Only noticed behavior so far that clearing cookies has fixed has been an instructor signing flights and checking the box to copy the student's flight to their logbook when signing; the copy never seems to happen.

Do we possibly write the cookie before reading it, so that we ignore the checkbox under some circumstance?
