You know what? I'm going to put a feature idea on my list to create a menu of possible custom columns, including complex/tailwheel/turbine/etc., and allow you to choose up to 2-3 of them onto both the print and the online display. Don't know when I'll get to it, but I think I know how I might go about it.
Thanks

Hi Eric,
Thank you very much, I totally understand. Really what I was going for is a match of the generic ASA/Jepp logbooks that have a few blank columns that the pilot can log whatever specific time they want (complex, tailwheel, etc), but I understand if that’s harder to do in the digital to printer format.
I really appreciate the quick response and willingness to look into this!
Yeah, to some degree it is a function of the layout. Some of the layouts are seriously prescriptive, so there isn’t much opportunity to tweak it.
All of the totals you’re asking for are included in the summary at the end of the printout.
Interesting - I’d not really heard of people being asked how much time they had at some point in the past. The per page subtotals are really an artifact of paper and human computation, they don’t really serve a purpose in a computerized world, but “how much time did you have when you did X” is one scenario where I suppose it does. Of course, it’s trivial to answer that question with a simple query using the MyFlightbook app or website, but that kinda defeats the point of submitting your logbook on paper.
I can take a look at adding total-totals on each page. Adding columns for things like complex and turbine, though, is a lot harder - column real estate is at a premium relative to row real estate, and generally is most efficiently used logging the primary things that are truly an attribute of the flight (e.g., how much PIC or IMC time) rather than secondary attributes which are derived from those primary attributes (e.g., MEL vs. SEL or turbine/complex, which are determined by combining the primary PIC or Total time with the aircraft attributes).
Hi, I want to start off by saying I love your logbook! I wanted to see if there is a way to edit the print view templates a bit... For example, none of the options have total time logged at the bottom (as in a combination of all category/classes flown). It is nice that it is split up into saying I have this much AMEL and this much ASEL, etc., but many interviewers like total time in addition and they don't want to have to add the times together if they're trying to figure out how much time a person had by the time they did a certain checkride or training event. I was also wondering if there is a way to add columns for criteria that is logged, but doesn't present itself in the page by page version of the logbook. For example it would be nice to have a column for turbine time, tailwheel, complex, etc. Just optional times that the user/interviewer might want to see on each page.
