A junior developer has an incredible amount to learn, they will have many questions and will need coaching and mentoring. Generally you will want several intermediate/senior developers on the team so they can all help and possibly one developer who has "coaching" responsibility, this will take away from hard coding time to do well. So when should you employ your first junior? Should it be when you dev team (including the tech co-founder/CTO) 3, 4 or should we wait until have our prototype up and running. What do you think? What at the implications for the team and the tech co-founder? What factors should you take into account?
