Create design specifications

Create the design specifications for the specifications.

Create a document with images if needed to describe these specifications. If including multiple files, please make a sub-directory.

Introduce a master template. Separate and arrange into pages, and each page into views, and views into controls. Also include specialized behavior like mouse-over (hover) states, scrolling behavior, keyboard shortcuts, etc...

Definitions

Master template

• The general layout of all pages
• Includes common headers/footers
  • Banners/titles, etc.
  • Copyright notice, etc.

    Pages

• A collection of views

  View

• A collection of controls

  Control

• Text boxes, text fields, buttons, etc.

  Examples

  Profile page (/profile)

• Change username view
  • New username text box
  • Save button
• Change password view
  • Current password password box
  • New password password box
  • Confirm password password box
  • Save button

    Notes

• There is no requirement as of Jan 18, 2015, that requires there to be more than 1 page
  • Although it may be beneficial to separate functions into pages
  • This means that everything can just be handled as modal dialog, for example, or tabs in a page, etc.
• It is recommended that images are provided for clarity and simplicity, but it is not required
