Hide system tray button? #278

Is there a way for the app to start on boot minimized to tray but also have the system tray icon not visible? That's how I have IDM setup and I like that it grabs Firefox downloads but is completely in the background unless I click the .exe

I think I have it setup to launch on boot minimized to tray already but I don't see an option to hide the tray icon, is this possible?

Also, any change for http downloader to be added to winget?

Windows will let you hide system tray icons. https://www.lifewire.com/show-or-hide-icons-in-system-tray-in-windows-10-5115219 I'm not sure about Windows 11 though.

There's an advanced setting in HTTP Downloader to "Allow only one instance of the program to run" that you might want to enable as well. That'll restore the minimized window if you click on the .exe.

I don't think a package manager and repository is necessary for a portable app. There's nothing to install.

I don't think I can hide icons that other apps add, only windows icons. I have the setting "Allow only one instance of the program to run" checked so everything works well, it doesn't matter too much I guess just an OCPD thing having too many icons in the system tray. Thanks for making a good alternative to IDM though!
