if my test run on IE, can i use chromedriver for capturing jserrors?

Issue Description:

Hi, i am doing automation testing and all our test cases run in IE browser, i 
would like to capture the jserros, can i use chromedriver?
Is chromedriver just for tests run in chrome?

chromedriver is only for  chrome.
if you don't have any other  issue,  can we close the case.
