ggl-*.desktop.in specify invalid MIME type #360

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. grep MimeType trunk/hosts/*/ggl-*.desktop.in

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Actual output contains app/gg . If the generated desktop files are installed,
update-desktop-database throws an error

I have the same error 

 Entering directory `/home/USER/ggl-trunk/hosts/qt'
Error in file "/usr/local/share/applications/ggl-qt.desktop": "app/gg" is an 
invalid MIME type ("app" is an unregistered media type)
