Zope and Plone use the ZODB, an object database. Many organisations also need
to integrate with
legacy SQL systems, or may have a preference for using relational databases to
store their data.
Although the necessary technology exists, there is a lack of good examples
showcasing how this
integration can work.
The task: Find (or invent) a realistic scenario for Plone-to-SQL-database
integration and produce an
exemplar system that can be used as a point of reference for others needing to
do this type of
integration. Submit this as a tutorial on
http://plone.org/documentation/tutorial (you will need a
plone.org account)
