zacharmyhamed - the time limit for this task is nearly up. We can give up a
further two days to complete it, but
then we need to re-open it again according to the contest rules.
Can you give us an update on where you are with this?

Couple of questions...
About how long are you wanting this screencast to be?
Do you want voice over or just background music? Or is this up to me?
Original comment by dallas.e...@gmail.com
on 6 Dec 2007 at 12:48
A voice-over is probably a good idea, background music probably not, but it's
your
call, whatever seems best to you. The length is however long you want.

Yeah, we've just been informed the same by Google. I'll go along with what was
already said on the MoinMoin list. If you haven't dropped one of the tasks in
24
hours we'll drop your claim on both.

Is it alright if I use sites running Plone to showcase some of the features of
Plone
in the screencast?
Original comment by wjki...@gmail.com
on 31 Dec 2007 at 12:58
Yes, as long as you make clear that it's a feature of plone, not something that
site
has implemented.

You probably have to turn up the volume; the sound quality isn't so great.
Original comment by wjki...@gmail.com
on 2 Jan 2008 at 5:56
Ok, I've watched these now, have some feedback! :)
Searching:
It's probably worth showing the livesearch box and mentioning the fact that search
terms are highlighted
Users:
You only show the login area, it's probably better to describe the manage users
section of the control panel, showing how you assign global permissions to
users, and
that you can do the same thing for pages/folders in the sharing tab.
You might want to mention groups too
Portlets:
You don't actually say what portlets are, in user friendly you show the manage
portlets screen, I think this would fit better in this screencast. For
example, you
might show a basic plone install, point out where the portlets are, then show
adding
a new one.
You can also mention that you can write your own portlets (other people in GHOP are
currently working on portlets)
User Friendly:
I'd recommend dropping the portlets bit (as I mentioned above) and instead
including adding new content
Themes:
There are two main types of themes, those that just change CSS or at least only
make minor changes to templates (like Darkness) and those that completely
re-write
templates (like that orange one..) I'd recommend saying that you can use CSS
to do
most things but Plone lets you dig in and change any of the generated HTML
Nice work, you're certainly going in the right direction!
