shenmue 2 images wont load past rev71 #338

What steps will reproduce the problem?

1: loading shenmue 2 disks 1,2,3,4

What is the expected output? dreamcast booting up

But instead I see: selected image failed to load

What version of the product are you using? null dc rev71

I use version: 104

i just noticed that i cant load my shenmue 2 iso's past rev71,
i notice in rev72: imgreader rewrite, part 1

is that something to do with it?
i have downloaded from 2 different sites shenmue 2 disk 1,2,3,4 iso's and all 
fail to load past rev71.

Does anyone else have this problem?
or where i can get shenmue 2 iso's that work on rev72 and above.

sorry just to add the images are MDF & MDS files NOT ISO's.

if i take ImgReader_Win32.dll from rev71 and put in latest r111 works fine?
can i just do that?
or will it cause problems later on?

is there plans to fix the .dll to accept mdf/mds files?

But yes, there's problem with mdf/mds files. Can't you get an iso?

From your own bought games. That's were to get them from.

Yer I got the original discs so can I take a iso of them from a
program like imgburn? On my normal DVD drive?

Yes, you can mod a drive to read GDRs. I don't care how you do it. This is an 
issue tracker, not a forum and less so to discuss warez. 

The current issue is the broken mds/mdf compatibility. Unless there's work on 
the ImgReader for that, there's nothing more to add on this Issue.

So to confirm you can't just put disk in and make iso, the drive has
to be modded?
