VMU does not work #341

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
The vmu does not show up in game, but does show up as a separate screen. I
cannot save any games

1: attach vmu to controller
2: start game

?

The expected output is: vmu is recognized by game and is able to save

But instead I see: game shows no vmu plugged in

I use version: 104 r50

Operating System: 64 bit Windows 7

The seperate screen for the vmu works perfectly when playing a game, but the
game doesn't recognize the vmu. I was using jet grind radio at the the time I
got this errr. I haven't tried any other games.

It doesn't work with Jet Grind Radio. I just tried it with Sonic Adventure 2
and it worked fine.

Please, try with a newer revision
(http://www.emucr.com/2010/12/nulldc-svn-r119.html). I did not remember such
problem with this game.

This problem was solved in other revisions, between r51 and r123, so, i suggest
you using r123.

Do not use r119, because its buggy. Instead, use this:
http://www.emucr.com/2010/12/nulldc-svn-r123.html (r123)

It could be the Shenmue save fix that's breaking other games. See if you can
find the last revision that worked. Also, unless you have a Shader 2.0 card,
you should keep r119 for now. =P

PS: Try not to spam that site too much please.

@KrossX
All it does the Shenmue save fix is to process mapple dma interrupts without
delay.I doubt it could break anything.

@OP
What i see wrong here is the revision.Come on now.. you are repoting bugs with
r50 when the latest is r124 ?

I think I misread it, my bad. This seems like the VMU was working, but wasn't
formatted so it could be used. That was fixed by r53.

I'll mark it as fixed unless the OP states otherwise, using a recent revision.
