Well, m.orkut.com doesn't pass redirection in my locked-down Firefox either...
although having just tried a lot of things there, it's still returning "cookies
are
disabled". Sigh.

I heard both the mobile orkut site and the www.orkut.com site both have this
problem
in the latest version of Opera and an user sugested that the cookies cache must
be
cleared everytime for it to pass redirection. I'm not sure if google.com
generated
cookie is the culprit but I'm also having trouble signing into orkut

rechecked, it's definately the google.com generated cookie when you clear the
cookie
the first "cookies are disabled" page shows and upon accepting the cookie and
refreshing it the page keeps redirecting. My guess is that the cookie stores
login
info diferently for orkut and possibly other google related logins than the
gmail
entry does and when it tries to read it it's not returning the expected info...
maybe it uses a non standart way for password storage within the cookie?
Different
charset??

Yeah, logging in to google reader is a pain as well.
I'll have to go back and debug the cookies again. Google definitely does
something
weird, as you say it breaks in Opera too. More details when I get the chance to
look
at it.
