I'm having the same problem with version 0.8.5, in Windows XP.

Rikaichan worked fine some months ago. Then, it failed, I don't know why. Since
them I have been unable to make it work. I've reinstalled the extension and the
whole Chrome with no luck.

When I click the 'ri' kanji to start it, it does nothing for a few seconds and
then it crashes. Chrome popups a window telling me so and asking if I want to
restart the extension. Entering in the configuration page causes an instant
crash (with the 'Oh no!' window).

Any idea how can I use it again? It is working fine in two other computers but
not in this one :(

Thanks.

Some people have this but it was fixed by a restart of windows. If you've had
this for awhile I assume that can be the problem. If you check the debug
console does it list any errors after it crashes.

Such a small number of people have reported this it's hard to pinpoint. Sorry
it has been broken for a few months already.

How can I display the debug console? I've only seen the console of the page,
that shows no errors regarding rikaikun. If there is a console of extensions, I
can check it!

I'd like to know this as well, how do you display the console? I'm having the
same issue and it happens not too long after a fresh restart. I'm not about to
restart every time it crashes.

Well, the main debug console is in Menu -> Tools -> Javascript console. It
will show errors in red, some might be related to rikaikun.

The second place mentioned in #3 is debug console for the background page which
you can get to by going to:
Menu -> Tools -> Extensions then finding Rikaikun and selecting "inspect
background page"

I realize this is very old issue, but I am having the same problem.
Windows XP SP3, Rikaikun 0.8.9.

One thing I did notice was that if I signed into chrome it worked a couple
times. But after that it started crashing every time again.
