How to make idx file for rikaikun or if you can add enamdict #85

I'm programmer and I tried to add enamdict myself. but I hit obstacle with idx
file. as it seems the idx file used by rikaikun is different in format from
other ones I tried to download. so if you could tell me how to create idx and
I can share the results if you want.

Thanks for the comment.

I took the idx format from rikaichan when I forked rikaikun and if I looked
again I could probably write a guide on it. Honestly, my next rikaikun update
plans to rewrite the dictionary system into something much more extensible and
modern so I'm not sure it's worth it since if I set time aside to work with
rikaikun I'll probably try to get something bigger done.

Sorry, I've been slow putting it in myself.

Thanks for the response.

I could help with some work, I originally wanted to make such plugin but then I
found yours and thought there is no reason for me to make another plugin to do
the same thing, when can improve what's already there. I'm also busy, but I
have some time to modify plugins to suit my needs from time to time. I
modified your plugin to make the popup only show up when certain keys pressed.
but I hard coded that for my own use and i noticed the plugin contains already
some code for some of the options that are not yet completed.

I'm pretty sure there are other programmers who would love to help, you may
consider making project open for collaboration if you want.

Do you plan to make it use web sql? but maybe the current way is better
although limiting, because web sql development on hold and who knows might
become deprecated in the future.

Back to the format, yesterday, I attempted to do this, I figured out that the
idx is more plain than I thought (I didn't know this as there was encoding
issue in my php reader), it contains word then the line number(s) of a block of
words. it seems though the idx file contains maybe only stems not sure yet
about that. My attempt in adding enamdict didn't work but I stopped here. I
ll keep trying myself, but if you get some info when you have the time, I'd
appreciate it.

Thanks & Happy new year!
